Responsible Gambling at cicakwin

Gambling is entertainment — nothing more. cicakwin is committed to providing Malaysian players with the tools, information and support they need to keep it that way. This page covers everything you should know about playing safely, recognising warning signs, and accessing help when you need it.

Important: cicakwin is strictly for players aged 21 and above. If you feel your gambling is out of control, please use our self-exclusion tool or contact a support helpline listed on this page immediately. Help is available.

Our Commitment

Six Pillars of Safe Play at cicakwin

Responsible gambling is not an afterthought for cicakwin — it is built into how we operate. These six principles guide every decision we make about player welfare.

21+

Strict Age Verification

Every cicakwin account undergoes age verification at registration and during KYC review. Players under 21 years of age are never permitted to access the Platform, place bets or claim bonuses.

💰

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit cap directly in your account settings. Limits take effect immediately and can only be lowered at once — any increase requires a mandatory cooling-off period.

🚫

Self-Exclusion

Choose a temporary break of24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, or request permanent self-exclusion. Once activated, you cannot override a self-exclusion before its expiry — this is intentional and protective.

⏱

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration so the Platform automatically logs you out when your time is up. Reality-check pop-ups can also remind you how long you have been playing and how much has been wagered.

📊

Loss Limits

Decide in advance the maximum net loss you are comfortable with over a day, week or month. cicakwin will alert you when you approach the threshold and halt further play if the limit is reached.

🤝

Trained Support Team

cicakwin's support staff are trained to recognise signs of problem gambling and to connect players with appropriate resources. Our team operates daily from 09:00 to 23:00 MYT and treats every enquiry with complete confidentiality.

Understanding Gambling

Keeping Gambling in Its Proper Place

Sports betting, live casino games and other forms of gambling are popular leisure activities for millions of Malaysian adults. When approached with clear limits and the right mindset, they can be genuinely enjoyable. The problems arise when gambling stops being entertainment and starts being used as a way to recover losses, relieve stress or generate income.

cicakwin encourages every Member to treat each session the way they would any other entertainment budget — fixed, planned and separate from essential living costs. Whether you are betting on the latest EPL match, a Liga Super Malaysia fixture, or playing live roulette, the golden rule remains the same: never chase your losses.

  • Set a fixed gambling budget separate from rent, bills and savings
  • Accept that losing is part of the game — it is not a problem to "fix"
  • Never use borrowed money or credit to fund gambling
  • Take regular breaks, even when you are winning
  • Balance gambling with other social and leisure activities
Protective Tools

Your cicakwin Responsible Gambling Toolkit

All of the tools below are available in your cicakwin account settings. They are free to use, apply instantly when tightened and are designed to put you firmly in control.

💰 Deposit Limits

Navigate to Account Settings › Responsible Gambling › Deposit Limits. Choose your preferred period (daily / weekly / monthly) and enter your maximum deposit amount in MYR. The limit is active immediately. Increases are subject to a 7-day cooling-off period to prevent impulsive decisions during losing streaks. There is no minimum waiting time to lower your limit — reductions are instant.

📉 Loss Limits

A loss limit caps the net amount you can lose over a defined period. Once your net loss in MYR reaches the threshold you have set, cicakwin will prevent further real-money wagering for the remainder of that period. This tool is particularly useful for players who find it difficult to stop after a run of bad results. Like deposit limits, reductions apply immediately and increases require a cooling-off period.

⏱ Session Time Limits & Reality Checks

Set a maximum time per session. When the session limit is reached, cicakwin logs you out automatically. You can also activate reality check notifications — on-screen messages that appear at intervals you specify (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes), showing your current session duration and net win or loss figure. These are small but powerful reminders that help maintain perspective mid-session.

🚫 Self-Exclusion

If you feel that gambling is becoming harmful, self-exclusion is the most decisive step available. Temporary exclusion options cover 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 14 days or 30 days. Permanent self-exclusion is also available and cannot be reversed. During any self-exclusion period, your account is locked, you cannot log in and you will not receive promotional communications from cicakwin. Contact our support team [email protected] to initiate or discuss self-exclusion options.

😴 Take a Break (Cool-Off)

Not quite ready for full self-exclusion but need some distance from the Platform? The Take a Break feature allows you to pause your account for a short, defined period without permanently closing it. Your balance is preserved and you can resume playing when the break period ends. This option suits players who want to re-evaluate their habits without making an irreversible decision immediately.

🔔 Balance & Bet Alerts

cicakwin can send you an automated notification whenever your account balance drops below a threshold you define, or when your total wagers for a session exceed a specified amount. These alerts serve as an early-warning system, prompting you to pause and reflect before continuing. Alerts are delivered via email and in-platform notification and can be configured or disabled at any time from your account settings.

Self-Assessment

Could Your Gambling Be Becoming a Problem?

The following questions are based on widely recognised responsible gambling assessment frameworks. If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to use cicakwin's self-exclusion tools and to reach out to one of the support organisations listed further down this page.

Have you ever gambled with money that was intended for essential expenses such as rent, bills, groceries or loan repayments?

Do you find yourself chasing losses — placing further bets in an attempt to recover money you have already lost?

Have you lied to family members, friends or your partner about how much time or money you spend on gambling?

Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you try to cut down or stop gambling?

Has gambling caused you to miss work, study or important family commitments in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru or wherever you are based?

Have you borrowed money or sold possessions to fund gambling activities?

Do you think about gambling frequently during the day — planning your next session, replaying past bets or calculating potential winings when you should be focused elsewhere?

Have you ever felt that you need to gamble with larger and larger amounts of money in order to get the same feeling of excitement?

What to Do If You Answered Yes

Answering yes to several of these questions does not mean you have a permanent problem — it means it is time to take action. Start by using cicakwin's self-exclusion or take-a-break feature. Then reach out to one of the support organisations listed in the section below. Speaking to someone is always the right first step, and all services listed are confidential.

Remember: recognising the signs early makes recovery significantly easier. You are not alone, and help is available.

Protecting Minors

Keeping Under-21s Safe from Gambling

cicakwin enforces a strict 21+ age policy and employs multiple layers of age-verification technology to prevent minors from accessing the Platform. However, technology alone is not a complete solution — parental controls and household awareness play an equally important role.

If you share a device or computer with children or young adults under 21, we strongly recommend taking the following precautions:

  • Use a device parental control application to block gambling-related websites
  • Never allow children access to a device on which your cicakwin account is saved or logged in
  • Enable screen-time restrictions on shared family devices
  • Have open conversations with young people about the risks of gambling
  • Consider third-party filtering software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio on shared family computers

If you suspect that a minor has accessed your cicakwin account, contact our support team immediately so we can take appropriate action, including reviewing account activity and initiating a security review.
